A contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional courtyard typology in a rapidly expanding suburb, shielding itself from the outside while opening to the sky.

Achieving physical and visual isolation from disorganized surrounding buildings while maximizing natural daylight in all living zones.
02 / The Approach
Designing a U-shaped layout enclosing a central garden. Deploying handcrafted thin brick masonry and structural dark steel on the exterior.
03 / The Result
A private family sanctuary with a microclimate courtyard that acts as an outdoor living room sheltered from coastal winds.
